Re: Lumberjanes, obviously.

PS, I love that LUMBERJANES is selling out everywhere!

If you’re interested in finding it at a local shop, www.findacomicshop.com.

If you’re interested in it digitally, get it at comixology.

Or if you’re interested in print copies arriving at your door step, get it from BOOM!

I literally bought the last copy at the comic book store I always go to. I felt weirdly guilty grabbing it because I know one of my friends had wanted to pick up a copy later.

PSA cramps are just the feeling we get when the muscle of our uterus is literally tearing itself to shreds if you were wondering what the bloody stuff was in the first place and /that/ is why this is a Not Good thing to say

Actually a lot of the time cramps are caused by the muscles in our uterus spasming in order to cut off the blood flow to the uterus. Our uterus is basically trying to kill itself which is why your abdomen feels like death.

Also, the hormone that causes it? The first hormone of labor. So, when we get our periods we are literally starting labor for a week. How about that?

basically stab yourself in your lower stomach a thousand times with a dull knife and you’ll know how it feels

fucking thank you

STOP COMPARING PERIOD CRAMPS TO LABOR! They are nowhere NEAR the same kind of pain and you are simultaneously downplaying labor and over exaggerating periods!

You are not “literally starting labor for a week”, you are experiencing muscle cramps in your abdomen. Do you know what happens during labor? Massive amounts of that hormone are produced and YOUR CERVIX DILATES. That is no joke one of the worst things, your cervix dilating.

I’m sure some women have really bad periods, but if your periods are so bad you can’t function then you should see a doctor. If your periods feel like having labor THEN YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR BECAUSE IT SHOULD NOT HURT THAT BADLY.

Enough with the theatrics, periods happen, they hurt but they’re liveable and we have pain meds for that, get over it.

Seriously.  I had horrible periods where I couldn’t walk and I went to the doctor, got put on birth control and now my periods are super light.

The amount of bitching that goes on about periods on this website is preposterous.

I remember near the tail end of high school my periods were getting so bad I literally couldn’t function anymore and that’s the main reason I take birth control is because when I don’t I get cramps so bad I’d almost pass out. The condition is called Dysmenorrhea, where your menstrual cramps become so bad you can’t function normally.
